Lineker, Gary Gary LinekerLin·e·ker, Gar·y /ˈlɪnəkə, ˈɡæri $ -kər/ (1960–) a British football player who played for the English national team from 1984 until 1992, and was captain from 1990 to 1992. He is known for being a nice polite person who always obeyed the rules of football when he was a player.
